MY partner was taking part in a musical night last Saturday, at Lowfields School, York, to raise funds for BBC Children In Need.
I went along with her parents to give support, and was impressed by the Brownies and Guides and Track 29 taking part.
The teachers of Lowfield School had not only encouraged the children to take part with their school steel band and their own rock band, but they performed with their "manic teachers" band - and what a performance it was too.
If more schools had teachers like them they may get a lot more from the children and parents. They showed they cared and were human too. Well done all.
