Serious injuries to two players disrupted the York and District Sunday Afternoon League programme with one game having to be abandoned.
A College of Law man went down under a heavy Turf challenge when his side were 1-0 up after 30 minutes, but a long wait for the ambulance combined with failing light saw the fixture abandoned.
Also in hospital on Sunday night was Stirling Park goalkeeper Gordon Balfour, who will be out for a year after breaking a leg when colliding with one of his own players in their match at Cross Keys, which ironically turned out to be their first division two win of the season.
Wayne Gibson, Darren Ilas and Andrew Johns scored for Cross Keys, but a Ross Thompson double plus strikes from Daniel Dews and Mark Naylor may have taken some of the sting away from the stricken 'keeper.
Elsewhere in division two, Gimcrack exacted revenge on Kings Head for their 10-0 reverse last week with a 4-0 win to end Kings Head's unbeaten record.

Clifton Rangers squandered a first half two-goal lead through Gary Smith (2) to lose 3-2 to Wigginton Grasshoppers, whose scorers were Javier Sheppard, Mitch Buckley and Chris Wright.
John Alcock scored a hat-trick as Winning Post chalked up their second victory of the season, 5-1 at Bubwith White Swan. Lee Bunce and Fraser Russell got the other two, while Peter Taylor replied.
Wills Bar drop to the bottom of division one after a 6-0 pounding by Clifton care of Dale Phillips (penalty), Richard Bedingham, Paul Bedingham (2) and Kevin Butler (2).
The Walnut Tree bagged their first win of the season with goals from Adam Fella, Tommy Ashes, Darryl Boulton and a Simon Gilroy brace in a 5-1 defeat of Cottage Inn which lifts them off the bottom on goal difference.
