WE are all now aware that Gordon Brown is said to have rejected out of hand the recommendations of the Turner Report into pensions because he says they are unaffordable.

It was also unaffordable to thousands of pensioners for Gordon to take the windfall tax on the pension funds, a move which left a lot of pensioners having to apply to the Goverment for state handouts to give them a reasonable living.

Many such handouts have to be applied for on forms that even the officials who supervise the payments cannot understand because of the complex system they entail.

The report has been rejected because it does not come into the remit for the terms laid down by the Government, unlike the Hutton Report.

We are seeing more and more this Goverment taking over the lives of people; children being educated to the standards laid down and leaving school with qualifications that most employers say are not worth the paper they are written on; mothers going back to work and having their children educated to the standards that suit the state and not the parents; more people being employed by the Goverment so that their lives depend on the state.

This makes everybody reliant on the state for all their needs and have very little or no say in their own future.

Welcome to Tony and Gordon's Marxist state coming in through the back door - don't forget many of his Cabinet embraced Marxism in their youth and still do.
