Tony Culhane, who reached a career milestone at Wolverhampton last Friday when he rode his 1,000th winner on the Flat in Britain, can continue to add to his tally at Southwell tomorrow.
The North Yorkshire jockey, who lives near Thirsk, teams-up with Pressure Putt in the Daily Offers At Betdirect Nursery and can bring home the Nap selection in front.
Trained at Newmarket by William Haggas, who provided Culhane with a winner at Wolverhampton on Saturday night, Pressure Putt came unstuck on the same course last week when a beaten favourite.
Denied by less than a length, the two-year-old may have found the Polytrack surface against him at Wolverhampton and is worth another try on the slower Fibresand he will encounter tomorrow.
A good fourth from a poor draw at Doncaster on the last day of the turf season, Pressure Putt is capable of defying top-weight in this handicap.
Richard Fahey, who provides a danger to Pressure Putt in recent course winner George's Flyer, can land the following betdirectcasino.com Handicap with Pending.
Tony Hamilton's mount went down by just a neck to Spitfire Bob on this course recently and is selected to go one better this time.
Harry Up looks an interesting runner from the Kevin Ryan yard in the betdirect.co.uk Handicap over six furlongs.
The four-year-old, previously trained by James Given and a pretty useful juvenile, joined Ryan after changing hands at last month's Doncaster Sales, an auction which came close on the heels of Harry Up running a good race at Pontefract to finish fifth in handicap company.
At Hereford, Paul Nicholls, who saddled seven winners over the three days of the Newbury meeting, is represented in the Weatherbys Messaging Service Novices' Hurdle by Micky Cole, a promising five-year-old who looks likely to make a name for himself over jumps this winter.
