THANK you Elizabeth Earle for your letter supporting our Prime Minister (November 18). I agree with everything that you said.
The apologists for the terrorists such as John Heawood (Letters, November 25) would rather blame Tony Blair than the perpetrators of these terrible atrocities. His claim that the war on Iraq was "unprovoked" is ridiculous. Which planet was he on during the months and years prior to the war starting?
He is right to say the war was unpopular. There can be no such thing as a popular war. His assertion that the war was illegal is untrue. The people in Iraq have shown how much they want democracy and freedom by defying the terrorists to register their votes in elections.
