DOMINANT All Saints will fly the flag for York in the regional round of the national netball tournament in Sheffield in January.
They swept aside all-comers in the county round when six teams battled it out for glory.
All Saints defeated Easingwold 6-2, Thirsk 16-6, Harrogate Grammar 7-3, Joseph Rowntree 12-5 and St Aidan's 7-4 to lift the trophy.
They will be joined at Tapton School in Sheffield for the regional round on January 21 by runners-up St Aiden's, who beat Jo Ro 7-3 to push the York school into third place.
All Saints' winning team was Fran Bell, Beth Lyon, Callista Hutchinson (capt), Rachel Edmund, Natalie Klays, Maddy Hardy, Beth Kilbride and Rachel Anderson.
It was much tighter in the Under-16s where it went to the very last round with Joseph Rowntree, Asvillle College, Harrogate and Harrogate Grammar all in contention.
Jo Ro had to beat Harrogate-based Ashville to go through, having lost 7-6 to regional qualifiers Harrogate Grammar.
Both teams were neck and neck and Ashville went one up with a minute left. Rowntrees took possession but time ran out and the defeat condemned them to third place.
It was a bitter blow to Jo Ro, who are no strangers to the England finals, and their hopes now lie with their U19 team, who were playing on their home courts today along with Queen Margaret's, Easingwold School, Scarborough Sixth Form College, Whitby Community College, Northallerton College, Ashville College and Harrogate Grammar.
York's other U16s representative, All Saints, finished fifth beating Graham School, Scarborough, and Thirsk School.
