DAVE Pounder got York City reserves' late consolation in a 3-1 defeat at Hartlepool last night.
The Minstermen went down to a strong Hartlepool team that included former Bootham Crescent loan striker Michael Proctor.
Reserve team coach Colin Walker said: "We deserved to get beaten because of our sloppy defending. We gave a stupid penalty away for their first goal and before we knew it we were 3-0 down although, after Dave Pounder scored on 84 minutes, we did have two or three good chances to get another goal."
