I WOULD like to make a contribution of a few pennies to the Keep York Local Party (Letters, November 29).
However, the equity and (almost) tax-free profit of nearly £70,000 which I legitimately made under the right-to-buy scheme (thank you Mrs Thatcher) can be used for more enjoyable and recreational purposes.
It's a very difficult choice between a new BMW or Mercedes. Or maybe I could sample the Dutch coffee shop culture or sit on a nice warm beach this winter and ponder about a bunch of sour-faced losers.
Adios amigos. I'll be thinking about you this winter when it's cold, dark and miserable. The Keep York Local crowd and the British winter deserve each other.
