THESE hunks of manhood prove that providing something for the ladies is a profitable business.
For the bus workers who stripped off for a charity calendar have now raised more than £6,000 by stepping into the limelight to show off their talents Full Monty style.
About 250 women have twice packed out the Tramways Social Club in York for a cabaret performance by the fundraisers from First.
The seven immediately won over their audience by launching themselves into the spotlight to the sound of Robbie Williams' Let Me Entertain You.
The sell-out first show raised more than £3,000 for York Against Cancer through ticket sales, a raffle and games.
The cheeky chaps gave a second performance on Wednesday and are confident their efforts raised a similar amount.
"We were in our First uniforms adapted with Velcro so the trousers came off quickly," said Neil McDermott, of Copmanthorpe, who, at 50, is the most senior of the group.
"We did five or six routines. One of our drivers, Dan Tyrell, helped with the choreography. We have been rehearsing every Sunday since September because we were all pretty amateurish.
"It went down very well. There was a room full of about 250 women watching seven men get their kit off.
"You get a great buzz out of it. But the biggest thrill is from raising that much money for charity. We're supporting York Against Cancer, because everyone knows someone affected by cancer."
Neil admitted being "gobsmacked" by their success.
"We are just seven ordinary blokes - certainly not muscle men - ranging from 23 to me at 50."
Other stars were First engineer Shaun Metcalfe, bus inspector Stuart Flower, and drivers Wayne Cumberland, Tony Richmond, Karl Fenwick and Shaun Franks, with driver Steve Spence doing a drag act.
Earlier this year, 14 bus drivers and technicians posed in the nude for a black and white photo calendar, after driver Steve Spence was inspired by his wife's naked fireman calendar.
Plans to stage a third show on the back of that calendar are being hatched, with January 18 earmarked for the same venue. For tickets, phone Steve on 07886 322640.
Leslie McNeil, manager of York Against Cancer, paid tribute to the team behind the fundraising.
"I am quite blown away by it all - to have people come and put so many hours in to do this is fantastic.
"I am quite overwhelmed. Our charity was mentioned so many times during the show, it was very moving."
