I HAVE just watched the recycling lorry take our neighbours' rubbish away in Bootham. I would very much like to recycle our rubbish, but cannot.
Although we have a Bootham address, our rubbish is collected from Bootham Terrace, where there are no recycling facilities. I have offered to put the boxes in Bootham, but to no avail.
This is as crazy as the fact that we have to drive to Birch Park for undelivered mail to pay 50p for a parcel to be delivered to Clifton Post Office, whereas it is a ten-minute walk to Leeman Road sorting office.
