But what is his mission, what will he do now?
The Church of England is ready to split in two over two major issues - but does anyone really care? Islam is outnumbering Christianity in much of the UK. Christian festivals and terminology are banned in parts of Britain.
What can the new archbishop do to reverse this trend? Nothing, I fear.
