I AM writing to you regarding the rat I had in my bin. I have had a lot of comments from people saying that I did the right thing getting the Evening Press involved and they helped me very much.
I was very upset that a reader sent a letter in saying something along the lines of if it had been his grandmother or mother who found the rat they would have got the spade to it (November 29). I'm sorry but I could not have done that.
I would like to point out that my bin was shut as I did not have rubbish over flowing out of the top. And if I did not work and claimed income support I would have got the service free - where is the logic of that, you get made to pay because you work?
I have been left embarrassed and very angry by the whole thing!
