Norwich Union is one of the biggest employers in York - and one of the quietest.
As we report today, the financial and insurance company has invested more than £300,000 in local community projects since the beginning of last year.
As well as this, kind-hearted staff at the company have completed almost 2,000 hours of voluntary work in the city - at the same time as the company has sponsored many events, including the Evening Press's Community Pride and Business Awards.
All of this has been done without much in the way of fuss or fanfare.
But however quiet, Norwich Union remains an important presence in York.
