TADCASTER Albion boss Jim Collis is hoping a big crowd will turn up to see his side take on Halifax Town tonight - and reckons they might be in for a shock.

The Northern Counties East League side entertain the Shaymen in a rearranged West Riding County Cup tie (ko 7.45pm) - believed to be the first time the club have hosted a Conference outfit - and although the visitors are expected to field a strong line-up, Collis still rated his side's chances of bridging the six-division gap in the non-League pyramid.

He said: "We've played teams from the UniBond League premier division - we drew with Chorley in the cup and should have beaten them but lost the replay, and drew a friendly with Goole - and I didn't think there was much of a gap between us and them.

"I imagine the gap should be bigger to the Conference but if we play the way I think we can, I think there could be an upset."

Albion rose to second in NCEL division one with Satur-day's 2-1 defeat of Staveley - their ninth win in 11 games - and Collis added: "We're getting stronger as a team. We're not a bad side. If we get quite a few fans watching tonight hopefully we can attract them to more games."
