Tadcaster Albion boss Jim Collis praised his team's spirit despite their 5-1 West Riding County Cup exit against Nationwide Conference outfit Halifax Town last night.
Collis was cheered by his Northern Counties East League first division team's performance in the last 15 minutes of the Ings Lane clash.
Albion gained a late consolation with a deserved headed goal from centre-back Pete Vasey.
The Tadcaster manager said: "They were fitter than us and I know we still have some weak links which were punished by them.
"Out of their five goals, we gave them three but what pleased me was that we were the better side for the last quarter of an hour possession-wise and we did not throw the towel in."
