KING OF GOTHLAND is fancied to resume winning ways at Huntingdon tomorrow.
Kim Bailey's six-year-old lines up for the Racing UK Novices' Handicap Chase over three miles and is expected to come out on top.
King Of Gothland scored over this course and distance last month, coming home two lengths clear of Pedina to defy his 16-1 odds, and has since finished a creditable second to Koumba in a competitive race at Newbury.
A reproduction of that performance should see him back in the winners' enclosure tomorrow.
Keith Reveley has enjoyed a creditable run of success since taking over from his mother Mary about 15 months ago, and the Saltburn trainer, not new to winning at Huntingdon, can carry on the good work tomorrow.
Welcome To Unos, a winner at Catterick last week, looks to have a solid chance of following up in the Sponsor At Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle. Philip Kinsella, attached to the Reveley stable, again takes the mount.
Bonchester Bridge is napped to land the John Smith's Mares' Only Novices' Hurdle in the hands of Malton-born jockey Andrew Tinkler.
The four-year-old, trained by Nicky Henderson, finished a good third on her recent debut over hurdles. Improvement can be expected from that outing and this former smart bumper performer can open her jumping account here.
At Ludlow, She's The Lady bids to prove her recent long-priced success at Wetherby was no fluke in the EBF/Doncaster Bloodstock Sales National Hunt Flat Race.
The five-year-old made all the running on her latest start and stole a march on her rivals rounding the home-turn before staying on strongly to win by four lengths at 25-1. While it would be risky to rely on that form whole-heartedly, it could be that She's The Lady is a decent performer in the making. A bold bid for a double is my take on the situation.
The consistent Winsley gets the vote in the Alfa Aggregates Novices' Handicap Chase, Oliver Sherwood's gelding having already been successful on this course.
With Nicky Henderson's horses in such excellent form, the lack of a recent outing may not prevent Capitana from making a winning return to action in the Margaret Fletcher Special Birthday Mares' Only Handicap Hurdle, while Paul Nicholls is fancied to land the featured Viscount Boyne Memorial Handicap Chase with Le Jaguar, his chosen representative from a buch of entries.
