TADCASTER Albion will go top of the Northern Counties East League first division if they win at strugglers Teversal tomorrow.
Current leaders Gedling Town are in FA Vase third round action at home to Carlton, leaving Jim Collis' men, who have played a game more and lie a point behind, free to assume pole position.
Albion will give a late fitness test to winger Rob Youhill, who injured a toe after impressing as a substitute during the 5-1 West Riding Cup home defeat to Halifax Town. Matty Cressey is unavailable.
Collis said he would learn more about their title chances in the coming days.
"Halifax was always going to be tough but after tomorrow's game and our President's Cup match next Tuesday (against NCEL division one side Garforth), we will have a better indication of where we're at," he said.
Harrogate Railway will visit Armthorpe Welfare in the premier division knowing a win will keep them in touch with the leaders.
The previous meeting between the clubs, in August, spawned eight goals, five of them to the Rail, while an erratic Welfare team shipped in another four at home to Harrogate Town in the West Riding County Cup last week.
