EXPERIENCED York City left-back Nathan Peat will return to the field tonight in the North Riding Senior Cup match at home to Teesside Athletic.
The 23-year-old had been struggling with what had been thought to be a calf problem following a clash in training with team-mate Lev Yalcin.
However, an 'X'-ray taken after he limped out of the action in a reserve match against Darlington on December 13 revealed a fractured shin.
But he has been named in the starting line-up for the reserve squad fixture against the Wearside League division one minnows.
Kick-off at KitKat Crescent will be at 7.45pm. Admission is £4 adults, £1 concessions.
York City (probable): Stockdale, Kamara, Peat, Webster, Staley, Horwood, Bertos, Winn, Rhodes, Yalcin, Stewart, Reid, Hollingsworth, Phillips, Wrigley, Walsh.
