TALENTED youngsters will get the chance to turn researchers at York St John College.
Young people are often the subject of research, but that has been turned around by a project with the National Association Of Gifted And Talented Young People, which involves York St John hosting a series of workshops entitled Young People as Researchers.
Aimed at 14-18-year-olds, the six sessions will run at the college between January and May.
One of the aims is to prepare the participants for higher education by developing their skills in critical thinking and problem-solving.
Dr Margaret Wood and Dr Mike Calvert, of the school of education and theology, will be leading the group, the members of which come from schools and colleges in the north of England.
