A NEW travel agency has been launched in York.
David Carruthers and Errol De Hoedt have set up Conexo Global Travel at the Raylor Centre, in James Street.
Mr Carruthers, who is a former financial controller for the Moat House hotel, in North Street, York, said: "We are not a retailer. We shall rely on the Internet and telesales - and our first act is to compile special travel packages to take advantage of local airports like Robin Hood at Doncaster, Leeds Bradford International and Humberside."
Although independent, his agency is part of the Global Travel franchise and can package holidays under its Air Tour Operators Licence (ATOL).
He said over the next two years the partners hoped to take on two more people.
