Civil Service, languishing at the foot of Leeper Hare York and District League Reserve 'C' produced their second remarkable result in succession as they defeated league leaders Ouseburn 3-2.
This surprise success followed on from their defeat of second-placed Norwich Union in their previous game.
Neil Hunter, John Hampton and Mark Lund were all on target for Civil Service against Ouseburn.
Amotherby missed out on the opportunity to close the gap on the leaders as they were beaten 4-1 at home to Huby.
Liam Rapp scored the home side's only goal while Richard Webster (2), Steve Brogan and Dave Adams were on target for Huby.
A first half hat-trick from Mike Richardson helped Norwich Union recover from their recent setback as they won 4-1 at Hemingbrough. Nick Henshaw added the fourth, with Darryl Tate scoring for the hosts.
Andy Holmes gave Fulford the early lead at home to Riccall, but they succumbed to a hat-trick from Tom Bennett which was supplemented with goals from Danny Rogers and Ashley Olsen as Riccall won 5-1.
LNER Builders were beaten after having taken the lead. Dean Whitehead gave Builders the advantage at home to Heworth, but Ian Walbridge equalised before the break and Steve Tate hit a second half winner for the visitors.
