AFTER four weeks without a game, Nestl Rowntree RUFC lost 17-11 on a quagmire of a pitch at Whitby 'A'.
'Trees had all the early pressure but were stopped just short of the line and from the turn-over, Whitby's winger ran the length of the field for a converted try.
Nestl's veteran winger Andy Ramsay went over for a try following a fluent passing move, but another long distance try saw Whitby lead 12-5 at half-time.
Ivor Jackson landed two penalties to reduce the gap to one point, but, as the Rowntree ranks tired, Whitby clinched victory with a late try.
