ANGIE Hields (2 x 180 for 22) could not save Cueball 'B' as Claire Robinson secured Slip 'A' victory within the singles in their York John Smith's Ladies Darts League division one match.
Cygnet 'C's Carole Layne was in outstanding form with 24 as they saw off Blacksmiths challenge to go top, while Clifton 'A' moved into second place with a 7-4 win at Wenlock.
Clifton's Claire Lickley closed on 70 then the Jan Wilberham-Wendy Smith pairing sealing victory.
A 123 bull finish for 21 from Leeman 'B's Toni Smallwood in the pairs with Eileen White was too late as Flag captain Sarah Jackson and Sharon Neads teamed up to seal the win.
Slip 'A's Sophie Simpson hit three tons but it was the Claire Cooper-Sandra Winters combination who sealed their win at Shepherd 'A'.
Division two front runners Shepherd 'B' were taken to the wire by Sun 'B' before the club side's captain Jacky Sargeant combined with Sue Lacy to secure victory.
Holgate won 6-3 at Jubilee 'A', whose Ann Bainbridge hit the tons. Slipper won by the same margin at Leeman 'C' with Doreen Johnstone hitting three tons.
Sun 'A' kept the pressure on the top two as won 7-2 win at Tang Hall WMC. Clifton 'B' gained a last-gasp win against Burnholme thanks to Jayne Ruane and Linda Embleton. Cygnet 'B's mother-daughter pair Jackie Coverdale-Cindy Benton were the match winners against Woolpack, whose Liz Jackson shot out on 85.
In division three, Acomb were pushed hard by an under strength Cygnet 'A' before Patsy Richardson-Kerry McDonald settled it in Acomb's favour.
Leeman 'D' also had a last game win as Nikki Judson-Chris Hayward secured victory against their 'A' team. Britannia's Chrissie Godson-Louise Douglas were last-gasp victors against Volunteer 'A'.
Volunteer 'B' were narrow winners at Cueball 'A' where Joan Knowles-Michelle Kelly snatched victory.
