Rawcliffe Rangers' Matt Fearn grabbed a hat-trick to settle a thrilling fourth round York FA Saturday Junior Cup tie against Hamilton Panthers Reserves.
Panthers went close to opening the scoring through Stuart Kelly before Rawcliffe's Dave Stoner almost netted after a solo run.
Rawcliffe took the lead after 30 minutes when the ball fell to Fearn who fired home. Dave Casper in the Rawcliffe goal produced a great save to deny Kelly but he had no chance with Bradd Dunne's equaliser.
Hamilton were pushing forward but were thwarted by central defender Dave Close, Rawcliffe's man-of-the match.
With ten minutes of normal time remaining Fearn cashed in on sloppy defending to make it 2-1 but two minutes later Kelly levelled from close range to take the tie into extra time.
Inside a minute of the extra period Stoner scored from eight yards to regain the lead for Rawcliffe. Both teams hit the post, but with only a minute left Fearn completed his treble to see Rangers to a 4-2 victory.
Tadcaster Albion and York RI's clash was even closer, with penalties settling the issue in RI's favour.
Nick Hutchinson opened the scoring for RI after 42 minutes when he picked the ball up in midfield, held off two defenders and fired in a low shot.
Before half-time Tadcaster had a man sent off but they pushed hard for an equaliser and were denied by RI goalkeeper Paul Bailey, who turned a free-kick round his left-hand post.
Ten-man Tad eventually made it 1-1 with a well taken goal from Dave Shaw and their goalkeeper Matthew Wilson made two superb saves which forced extra time.
Albion's Marcel Edwards smashed in a cracking shot just inside the left-hand post to make it 2-1 but RI drew level when Shaun Stockdale beat off a tackle and ran from inside his own half to score.
The frantic pace continued and with eight minutes remaining Rob Ellis headed Tad 3-2 up, but there was still time for RI to square things up through Hutchinson to push the tie into a penalty shootout.
RI won the spot-kick showdown 4-3 when Tadcaster 'keeper Wilson missed with the final penalty.
Bishopthorpe United Reserves beat Old Malton Reserves 2-0 to book their place in the semi-finals.
Dave Kettlewell shot in from 20 yards and Paul Broadbent netted following a free-kick to wrapped up victory but Bishopthorpe were indebted to goalkeeper Darren Wiseman for an outstanding display as Old Malton pressed hard.
Dunnington Reserves beat Thorpe United Reserves 1-0 with Chris Turpin's fine left-footed drive in the second half clinching victory.
