BLACK Swan, Pickering, twice came from behind to beat Union Rovers 4-2 in their big RJF Homes-Beckett Football League first division clash.
Goals from Marc Dobson (2), Marc Ainsworth and Jon Scoble secured victory against a Rovers outfit whohad Peter Tiffany sent off in the 57th minute.
Tiffany had given his side the lead before Ainsworth's leveller. Even after his dismissal, ten-man Union regained the lead through substitute Rob Sharratt.
Dobson made it 2-2 but just as Union looked as though they would hold out for a draw they were hit by two late goals which saw Black Swan leapfrog Rovers to the top of the table.
In division two, second-placed Duncombe Park won 5-1 at Union Rovers reserves after falling behind to a Jamie Wilkinson goal.
However, Park were ahead by half-time thanks to goals from Rob Klimczak and Tom Ellis and went on to dominate with Klimczak, Lee Otterburn and Jamie Nixon completing the rout.
Despite only being able to field nine men, third-placed Coxwold claimed all three points with a 2-1 victory at Ampleforth, who took the lead through Huw Hodges. Adrian Leckenby equalised and Paul Holmes netted Coxwold's winner.
The Ryedale Hospital Cup produced a 14-goal thriller as division one's Kirbymoorside beat St Clements WMC from the second division 9-5 after extra time.
It was 5-5 after normal time with David Wilkinson (Kirkbymoorside) and Karl Young (St Clements) both claiming hat-tricks. With the 'Moorsiders leading 5-4, debutant Joe Woof equalised for St Clements to force extra time.
The extra period was a one-sided affair, with Kirkbymoorside scoring two goals in each half with Martin Pugh becoming the third player to help himself to a hat-trick.
First division outfit Thornton-le-Dale ran out comfortable 4-2 winners over division two leaders Gillamoor thanks to a hat-trick from Tim Hodgson and a Luke Tateson penalty. John Bointon netted a late consolation for Gillamoor with a 30 yard drive.
The Gordon Harrison Memorial Trophy produced a hatful of goals.
Rosedale beat Heslerton 5-1, with Martyn Myers scoring three.
Aislaby United recovered from a 3-2 half-time deficit to beat Old Malton 3rds 6-3 with goals from Nick Wilkinson (penalty), Bobby Brewer (2), Kenny Temple and Adam Hornby (2). James Stone, Phil Smith and Michael Brown were on target for Old Malton.
