RYAN Chadwick made up for lost time when his hat-trick earned Selby Olympia WMC a 3-1 win over Nestl Volunteers in York John Smith's Sunday Morning Football League division one.
It was his first full game for three months after being out through injury. Volunteers' goal came from Mike McKenzie.
Severus SC maintained their two-point lead over the chasing pack at the top with a 5-2 win over Thorpe United.
Hot on Severus' trail are Marcia, who bounced back from 2-1 down against Wigginton Grasshoopers to win 6-2.
Goals from Tim McIlroy and Luke Roberts saw Wigginton up at half time but after a Grasshoppers' player was dismissed for handling on the goal line, Marcia powered home with Mark Ford (pictured) netting a hat-trick.
Derwent United and Nestl Flag fought out a 0-0 draw.
At the foot of the division, Acomb WMC came out on top 5-2 against Pocklington Town with Neil Ducey grabbing a hat trick, along with a goal from Danny Gray and an own goal. Pock's strikes came courtesy of Ian Stabler and Anthony Andrews.
With division two leaders Shipton not in action, Cueball Fulford, lying second, and York Nomads, in the third spot, went head to head.
Nomads claimed a precious 2-0 victory through Thompson and Bradley, denying Cueball top spot.
Bishopthorpe drew 2-2 with lower placed Haxby Lions, and Shoulder Of Mutton handed a 1-0 victory to Deramore Arms with an own goal.
Copmanthorpe's 6-0 thrashing of Selby Olympia Reserves meant they remained top of division three on goal difference. Matt Bastock did most of the damage with a four-goal haul and was aided by James Gilbertson and Steve Evans.
Skelton coasted to a 4-1 win over visitors Heworth with Mark Pipe (2) and Michael Heels (2), Heels' second being a 35-yard lob over 'keeper Matt Wilson. Darren Heels hit Heworth's consolation.
Inland Revenue put a dent in Wilberfoss' promotion push by holding them to a 1-1 draw thanks to a Burn strike after five minutes. Wilberfoss equalised through Johns.
Acomb Celtic led 3-1 at the break against F1 Racing but it was a different story in the second half as F1 hit back to draw 3-3. Rankeillor, Dickinson and Thornton were on target for Celtic.
Bay Horse Tadcaster beat Beeswing 3-0 with goals from Sebine (2) and Conway.
Division four was blown wide open after leaders Wanderers lost 5-4 to second placed Enterprise.
A Whelerton hat-trick was supplemented by a Hartley double for in-form Enterprise with Dave Newton (2), Gary Newton and Mick Cammidge replying for Wanderers.
Albion Vaults enjoyed a solid 4-1 win against Rumours with goals from Dave Reesbeck, Chris Charlesworth, Lee Ward, and Andy White. Rumours' goals came from Bye.
Gipsy Moth remained in the chase after beating Castle Howard Ox 5-2 with substitute Rob Cheeney (2) James Lumb, Marc Smethurst and Darren Watson on target.
Thomas's Hotel and Selby Griffin fought out a 4-4 draw. Stevie Scott (2), Cliff Baxter and Pete Barras were on target for Thomas's with Pickersgill, Maher, Fletcher and Harrop hitting back for Griffin.
Real Way Station came back from 2-0 down against Carlton Tavern to draw 2-2. CPP thumped Cueball Fulford Reserves 6-2 after the match was locked at 2-2 at the interval. Gavin Boyne (2), Adam Reep (2), Steve Nichol and Dan Forth were CPP's scorers, and both Cueball's goals were netted by Steff Tomaino.
Firkin 103 are the leaders of division five after a 1-0 win over rivals New Earswick, whose own goal gave Firkin victory in the last minute.
Cawood, who had an impressive 5-1 win against Acomb Rangers with goals from McLoughlin, Knowles, Sykes and Walsh.
Acorn stayed with the leading pack after their 7-2 win over Pocklington Rangers thanks to goals from Cross (2), Bell (2), Bedford, Gregory and Franks. Laverick and Ignjatovic replied for Pock.
Poppleton Road WMC beat Forest FC 5-2 thanks to a Chris Murcutt hat-trick, supported by strikes from Adam Osguthorpe and Simon Mandy. Andrew Lovett and Neil Jackson were on target for Forest.
