CROSS Keys find themselves anchored to the bottom of the York Sunday Afternoon Football League second division after a 6-1 beating by Drum.
The result was bad enough but worse news was to follow as Stirling Park, the only team below them in the league resigned because of a lack of players.
All matches involving Stirling have been expunged by league officials. That included Keys' only victory of the season, so the pub side now find themselves propping up the rest without a single point.
Christopher Moffat got their goal against Drum, whose goals were banged in by Stephen Moore, Richard Douthwaite and Christopher Groom, who scored two each.
Dunnington Reserves thrashed Clifton Rangers 11-0 with Matthew Davies scoring six of them. Also on target were Ben Connell (4) and Paul Downing.
In contrast to their reserves, Dunnington's first team were thumped 9-2 by runaway first division leaders Clifton.
Pick of the goals for the champions-elect, who were 6-0 up at half-time, was a solo effort by James Barnes with the other scorers being Dale Phillips (2), Terry Taylor (2), Kevin Butler (2), Daniel Coombs and Darren Brandon.
Oliver Hincks scored a hat-trick as College of Law defeated Cottage Inn 5-3 with the students' other goals coming from Ross Hutchinson and Peter Kendall.
York St John's College bounced back from 2-0 down to beat Turf 3-2 with a Ryan Davies hat-trick. Turf's marksmen were Jonathan Ryder and Tim Hudson.
Wills Bar's Jonny Dunning's individual effort was the pick of the goals as they beat an injury-hit Melbourne 3-0, Shane Olley chipping in with the other two goals.
