Heworth 'A' gained revenge by hammering their 'B' team 6-1 in the York Conservative Clubs' Carlsberg UK Snooker League, having lost the opening game of the season 4-3.
Tony Tennyson won the opening frame for the 'B' team by inflicting the first defeat of the season on Kevin Gall.
Jason Milner, Richie Burdett, Mark Winskill, Steve Burdett, Clive Whyte (40 break) and Neil Wood then made it 6-1 for Heworth 'A'.
Fulford 'A' consolidated their second position with a 5-2 win over their 'B' team. Wayne Puleston, Glen Mountain, Richard Stroughair (22 break), Simon England and Jeff Brown were the 'A' team winners and replies came from Arther Pegden and Nigel Smith.
Fulford 'A' are now 12 points adrift of league leaders Heworth 'A', and Heworth 'B' are a further four points behind but have a four point advantage in the John Smith's 'B' team competition.
Bootham 'B' shocked their 'A' team with a 4-3 victory. Ray Stamp overcame Ken Taylor (20 break) and John Wortley put the 'B' team 2-0 in front, then Colin Robinson, Nick Parker and Barry Rankin moved the 'A' team ahead.
Tony Lambert levelled the match and Lionel Barnes (25 break) sealed the win with a black ball success.
Acomb 'A' had a similar win over their 'B' team for their second success of the season, both against their 'B' team.
Acomb 'A' were 2-1 in front after wins by Steve Thompson and Marcus O'Boyle and a reply by Andy Stone. The 'B' team moved 3-2 ahead as a result of Steve Rodgers and Paul Waites recording their first successes of the season.
Adrian Barraclough (29 break) levelled the match and Ian Gillies completed the 4-3 win for the 'A' team.
With the defeat of Kevin Gall this week, only three players - Jason Milner (H), Glen Mountain (F) and Arther Pegden (F) have a 100 per cent record of eight wins and are leaders in the Willsden Steel Player of the Year competition.
Clive Whyte (H) made a 40 break this week but Neil Wood (H) with a 57 break continues to lead in the North Wolds Printers Highest Break contest. Richard Stroughair (F) is in second spot with a 53 break.
