NOW here's a novelty for York travellers: a bus station.
Yorkshire Coastliner's plans to create a new base off the A64 have already won the support of North Yorkshire County Council.
If the other authorities back the scheme, many passengers will be grateful. Without a central point to catch a bus, public transport in and around York can be a tricky business.
We reported last week a separate proposal to build a bus interchange within the York Central redevelopment. Typical. You wait years for a bus station, then two turn up at once.
