Ouseburn were the only side in the top half of division one to collect maximum points after winning 5-3 at New Earswick despite trailing 3-0 at the interval.
Goals from Paul Barker, Drew Babbs and Tom Robinson had given Ouseburn a mountain to climb but they hit back after the break to win with goals from Richard Crabbe (2), Richard Dwight, Lee Croft and Andrew Kitchen.
Leaders Heslington were quick to acknowledge that basement side Post Office were full value for their first point of the season following their 1-1 draw at Heslington. Andy Bonarious put Post Office in front inside the first three minutes with Andy Gray equalising on 15 minutes.
Tockwith lost their first away game of the season 2-1 at Easingwold. Micky Raper and Andrew Metcalf (junior) gave the hosts an early advantage with Danny Clements pulling a goal back for Tockwith in the second half.
Mark Scoreby scored twice for his new club Elvington as they won 6-1 at Stamford Bridge. Andy Foster, Aidan Theedom (2) and Luke Dove completed the scoring for the visitors with Nick Rank replying for the hosts.
Amotherby recorded their first home win in five games as they beat Wilberfoss 2-1. John Parkin put 'Foss in front but Steve Clay restored parity and Simon Wall hit the winner ten minutes after the re-start.
