Graham Lee, whose crunching fall at Catterick last Thursday left him with a badly bruised and heavily swollen foot, can return to the saddle in style at Newcastle tomorrow.
The north's top jumps jockey will be hungrier than ever to get his name on the scoresheet after missing three winners at Carlisle on Saturday.
One More Time should ensure he makes a rapid return to the winners' circle in the opening maiden hurdle.
The Howard Johnson-trained four-year-old was no match for Gardasee over this course and distance last month, but she beat the remainder of the field handsomely enough. In tomorrow's race, which is confined to mares, she ought to be good enough to go one better.
The step up to three miles should suit Calin Royal, another of Lee's booked mounts, in the bet365.com Novices' Hurdle.
Runner-up to the highly regarded L'Antartique at Doncaster last month over two miles and three furlongs, Calin Royal was never able to match the speed of the classy winner on that occasion. But the emphasis tomorrow will be much more on stamina and the five-year-old is fancied to come into his own over this longer distance.
Moon Mist, narrowly beaten over hurdles on her latest start, returns to fences in the Miller Homes Handicap Chase. The eight-year-old was only caught near the finish on her latest outing by Caesar's Palace and beaten by a length. This dour stayer can go one better tomorrow.
Adlestrop makes plenty of appeal in the EBD/Doncaster Bloodstock Sales Mares' Only National Hunt Flat Race.
Richard Phillips's six-year-old shaped well on her debut at Huntingdon last month to finish third to Apollo Lady, clear of the rest. Normal improvement from that first race should make her hard to beat.
On the Flat at Lingfield, my Nap selection Diamond Josh again has the services of champion jockey Jamie Spencer in the Betdirect On Tennis Handicap.
Spencer was in the saddle when David Evans's four-year-old went down by a neck at Wolverhampton last time after attempting to make all the running.
