ON Tuesday, January 3, I had the misfortune to collide with a young cyclist in Pavement, outside Marks & Spencer. My fault: I had seen the bus but not the cyclist and had proceeded to cross the road.
I want to particularly thank the young cyclist for his concern and to reassure the young man that I am indeed fine. No damage done at all, (only to my pride...) although I was a little dazed at the time.
Even my spectacles which flew off my head and landed with a thud in the middle of the road, remained undamaged. I have no other way of getting this information to the young man, and I would like him to know how impressed I was with his immediate and caring reaction.
