A MUST win game. That's how York RI chief Nigel Lowery described tomorrow's crunch match with Moortown as the Yorkshire Three side hope to continue their winning run.

RI lie second in the league table trailing Roundhegians on points difference only. But Moortown, also in the promotion mix, will be a far from easy opponent - having already turned over the New Lane club once this season already.

That game, a 16-3 defeat in Leeds, has proved to be something of a catalyst for the Railway men as they have won their next six league encounters.

And it's a virtually full strength unit which will look to stretch a gap between the chasing pack by picking up yet another two points.

Only Nathan Ashman is unavailable and new signing Karl Hart, a winger/full back who has arrived from Pocklington, is also likely to be in the mix.

Lowery said RI had to get a result at home if their title ambitions were to continue. "You've got to win your home games," he said.

"They beat us 16-3 at their place but it was a close game until the end. We are virtually at full strength and I think we will need to be.

"But we are hopeful. We're on a good run and everyone is fit and raring to go."

Without half a dozen regulars, it's a tough ask for Pocklington to get a result at home to new league leaders Scarborough in Yorkshire Two.

The Percy Road club selects the same XV that went down in injury time against Dinnington last Saturday, a result which leaves Pock in fourth place four points adrift.

Whatever the result, the game will be a special occasion for Pock regulars as former back row Eonne 'Dipper' Sinclaire, who now lives in the South West, will be making his first trip to East Yorkshire for more than a decade.

It promises to a tough run in for York, who take on Huddersfield YMCA at home missing a raft of key players due to injury and unavailability.

There are seven changes to the team that won away at Keighley and several second team players will be stepping up.

That said, York should still have way too much in reserve to dispose of YMCA who have struggled all season in Yorkshire One.

The Clifton Parkers are without the influential Nick Ventress, Billy Caukanitabua and Stu Davies among others.

Malton and Norton go to Redcar in Durham and Northumberland One.
