SLIP on your glad rags, don your dancing shoes and help raise thousands of pounds for the Guardian Angels appeal.
Tickets are now available for the glamorous Angel Charity Ball, to be held at the Voltigeur Suite at York Racecourse on Saturday, March 11.
Organiser Anne Ma'aye promises live music, entertainment and a delicious three-course meal, with opportunities to donate throughout the evening.
"The nurses on the children's ward came up with the idea of a ball to help boost the appeal," she said.
"There will be lots of dancing so people can dance the night away if they want to, or they can enjoy the entertainment instead.
"It will be a fantastic night and lots of fun."
Although some of the entertainment is being kept secret, Anne can reveal it will include a giant PlayStation and a large Scalextric.
The menu will start with mille feuille of plum tomato, roasted red pepper, spinach and goat's cheese. A leg of Yorkshire Dales lamb infused with fresh orange marmalade will follow, finished off with a sharp St Clement's brule with a centre of summer berry compote. Coffee and mints will be served and special diets will be catered for.
Tickets cost £50 a head.
