ON Friday, January 13, I went to Monks Cross, York, to catch the Park & Ride to town. As I arrived a bus left and I was impressed by the instant apology from the man in the office.
I was even more impressed when the same man boarded the next bus and explained to all the passengers that there was a broken down vehicle on Foss Bank causing quite a tailback of traffic. He then explained that they would be diverting the bus via Heworth into town and hoped this was all right with everyone.
Many of the passengers commented how nice it was to be communicated with at the time.
Well done Monks Cross staff for your politeness and thinking of options when in difficulty. Keep up the good work.
