IAN Fisher regained his Brass Monkey Half Marathon title in style - by setting a new course record.
The Otley AC runner clocked 66 minutes and nine seconds to break his own record and win the event for the fourth time following successes in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
He did not defend his crown last year when it was won by Holmfirth's Dave Watson, but roared back with a vengeance this time to beat second-placed Watson by 45 seconds.
Pickering-based Darran Bilton, who runs for Leeds City, was third in 69-05.
Olympic marathon runner Tracey Morris (Valley Striders), who lives in Leeds, clocked 76.55 to win the women's race - a time which was well down on the course record set the previous year by Scottish international Hayley Haining.
