YORK City will visit a Woking side searching for their first Conference home win in nearly four months tomorrow.

The Cards last tasted league success at Kingfield Road on October 1, beating Scarborough 4-0, and, since then, have only managed draws against Dagenham, Crawley, Halifax and Grays.

Glenn Cockerill's men have also been beaten at home by Kidderminster and Morecambe during a six-match run without a league victory on their own soil and have failed to find the net in the last four of those fixtures.

Only relegation-threatened Tamworth have won fewer games and scored fewer goals at their own stadium than the Surrey play-off hopefuls this season.

Tenth-placed Woking have won just three of their 12 league home matches and scored a measly 15 goals in front of their own fans despite boasting Justin Richards, the Conference's top marksman.

Richards, 25, has netted 17 times in all competitions and has been the subject of two recent bids from Burton Albion.

But the former West Brom, Bristol Rovers and Stevenage striker has only managed one goal in his last seven outings with Cockerill - a player at Sheffield United when City boss Billy McEwan was first-team coach at Bramall Lane - recently switching to a 4-5-1 formation.

Cockerill could change tactics against the Minstermen after striker Craig McAllister came off the bench to earn his side a 1-1 draw against Stevenage on Tuesday night.

Fellow substitute Chris Sharpling also impressed and both players could start tomorrow in a 4-4-2 line-up with the places of midfielders Steve Evans and Neil Smith in jeopardy.

Woking will also be forced into a change at right-back after 21-year-old Simon Jackson dislocated his shoulder at Stevenage. Karim El-Salahi is set to play.

Woking have not won any of their last six league fixtures and have only beaten one side above them in the table all season and that was back in August when Stevenage were defeated 3-2 in the third game of the season.

The Cards have also drawn more matches (ten) than any other Conference side.

About tomorrow's clash, Cockerill said: "York have got some good footballers but they're finding, like other top teams, that anyone can beat anyone else in this league."
