SIMON Gatenby's spectacular second half goal gave division one leaders Heslington a 2-1 win over Rufforth, whose Anthony Evans had levelled after Danny Walters had given Heslington an early lead.
Second-placed Tockwith took the points at Elvington with a 3-2 win. Ben Small got both Elvington goals but Tom Heden side-footed home from a perfect free-kick to give Tockwith a late winner after earlier goals from Ian Hutchinson and Dave Richmond.
Two goals each from Nick Rank and Simon Walters set up Stamford Bridge' s 6-2 win at Hamilton Panthers. Bridge's other goals came from Dave Stanford and Martin Smith senior.
Post Office recorded their first win in 14 games as they won at fellow strugglers New Earswick 3-1 with two goals from Andy Bonarius, the second a great stooping header, to add to Michael Cooper's opener. Kev Barker responded for New Earswick.
