I AM concerned about what we hear of the "antics" of Derek Acorah (January 26).
If he is not genuine then he is callously deceiving people and creating a great deal of pain in claiming to be in touch with the dead. If he is a genuine medium then he himself and anyone who goes along with this are in grave danger.
We who believe in God and follow the Christian faith certainly believe in a spiritual realm, but dabbling in this area can put one in touch with evil spirits.
Those who have died in the faith of Christ are surely at peace, and awaiting the time when they will be united with him.
They will not be roaming around in the city of York! Jesus himself "cast out" demons from people who claimed to be psychics or mediums.
Keep well away from such folk as David Acorah and his TV programmes!
