Evergreen veteran Sir Sandrovitch travels from Malton to Lingfield tomorrow to run in his 110th race and is fancied to beat his junior rivals.
The ten-year-old, trained by Richard Fahey and almost part of the furniture at his Musley Bank yard, goes for the betdirect.co.uk Classified Claiming Stakes over six furlongs, with Paul Hanagan in the saddle.
Sir Sandrovitch, who has won 11 races, finished fourth at Wolverhampton on his most recent start and third at Southwell on his previous outing. It is hoped that this switch to the only other all-weather track will bring out the best in him.
Oldenway provides Fahey and Hanagan with good prospects of a double in the Betdirect Freephone Handicap.
A winner at Southwell two outings ago, Oldenway was unsuited by a messy early gallop before finishing third to Bethany's Boy on his latest start at Wolverhampton. He should not be ignored as he bids to resume winning ways.
Hanagan has a solid chance of a third success on Nap selection Creme Brulee in the Text 'Betdirect' Maiden Stakes.
Charlie Egerton's filly ran well to finish sixth to Heaven Knows at Wolverhampton on her only start to date and is surely open to improvement.
She may prove a good value proposition against Developer, the likely favourite, who has failed to justify being market leader in his last two races.
Robert Winston can score on Samson Quest in the Win £2m @ littlewoodspools.co.uk Handicap. The Tony Carroll-trained four-year-old was beaten by threequarters of a length by Burnley Al last time and was previously a short-head second to Barton Sands.
