Johnny Cambridge was man of the match as Heworth ARLC under-15s put recent hard games behind them to beat Gateshead 34-8.
Heworth controlled the game from the off with Sam Bradley going over early on and Gary Sissons (2) and Jake Ripley also crossing before the break, Ben Simpson adding three goals.
Heworth led 22-0 at half-time and, after Gateshead began the second half with two tries, Cambridge, Anthony Acomb and debutant Adam Kenyon increased the lead.
This was a fine display towards the end of a challenging season for the youngsters.
New Earswick U12s came from behind to grind out an 18-10 win at Victoria Gladiators. Tom Holmes (2), Rob Graham and Jacob Maddison got the tries, with Holmes adding a goal. Men of the match were Jack Miller and Andrew Scriven.
Stuart Leeke, Josh Peacock and Tyler Dawson all scored hat-tricks as York Acorn U14s beat Dewsbury Celtic 48-10. Josh Mortimer also crossed, Antony Chilton adding six goals. George Holroyd was man of the match.
