Team practice has paid off for Lady Lumley's School U12 netball team after they beat Ryedale School 16-15.
Fantastic defending by Rachel Garnett and Chloe Averson combined with solid centre-court play and consistent shooting from Sophie Shepherdson and Lauren Scott to earn them the narrow win.
The U14s side followed that with an 18-10 defeat of Eskdale School, but the U15s suffered a 15-7 loss to Ryedale School, despite taking an early lead.
Another top drawer performance by Lady Lumley's U15 basketball team saw them topple Raincliffe School by 70 points.
Lady Lumley's shut out Raincliffe for the first quarter, led 47-2 at half-time and then swatted aside a mini-comeback to win 90-20.
Callum Maguire top-scored with 16 points, man of the match Jack Lund hit 12, and Jamie Maguire, Adam Hargreaves and Shaun Hindmarsh all scored ten each.
