JORDAN Lawrence scored York Acorn ARL's only try in their defeat at the hands of Stanningley.
Stanningley opened the scoring but Acorn defended well and after pinching the ball passed it out to Lawrence who dived over.
Stanningley regained the lead by half-time and after the interval man of the match Steven Derbyshire, playing at full-back, produced some superb tackles but could not stop the Leeds side adding to their tally.
Earswick mudlarks
NEW Earswick ARL U12s had to work hard on a small pitch at Simbalk Lane to get the better of Milford.
The All Blacks, whose own pitch was waterlogged, won 12-6 with tries for Mike Husband and Tom Holmes, who added two goals. Andrew Scriven and Jake Evans tackled and ran hard.
