TITLE hopefuls Selby Warriors will have one eye elsewhere as they end their campaign in Pennine League division three on Saturday at home to already relegated Thornton.

Selby are second on points-difference behind Littleborough - whose only remaining game is also against Thornton on April 1 - but they are so far in arrears that only incredible results will see them overhaul the current leaders.

In third place are Wyke, who are one point behind with a game in hand. They could thus leapfrog the top two thereby knocking Selby out of the promotion place.

On paper, Wyke's hardest game is Saturday's home clash with fourth-placed Slaithwaite Saracens and the Warriors will be praying for a turn-up while they see off Thornton.

The New Earswick All Blacks promotion bandwagon rolls to where they take on St Joseph's knowing they need only two more wins to be sure of a top-two place.

The big one for All Blacks is the potential title-deciding rematch with leaders Halifax Irish, the only team to have beaten them in the league, but in the meantime they need to bolster their points-difference record to catch up with the Irish.

York Acorn 'A' have no game in division three and York Groves' division five season has ended with the Terriers in fifth.

Heworth 'A' visit Stanley Rangers 'A' in Yorkshire League division three.
