Selby Olympia WMC's grip at the summit of division one of the John Smith's York Sunday Morning League was maintained by a 5-0 thumping of Nestle Volunteers.

The damage was done in the first half with Ryan Chadwick netting a hat-trick, and Danny Chadwick and Liam Brown finishing the job in the second period.

Hounds FC are still on their trail after thrashing Wigginton Grasshoppers 7-2. Hounds only led 1-0 at the break before a second-half goal fest. Collier (2), Mitchell, Roughley, Crowther, Harkin, and Jackson were the Hounds scorers, Luke Roberts and Paul Dix responding.

Also fighting for the title are Ainsty Panthers, who came from 1-0 down at half-time to beat Nestl Flag 3-1.

Tosh Reid got the equaliser from the spot and was joined on the scoresheet by Mark Willoughby and Jamie Moore.

Marcia suffered a setback with a 8-2 defeat to Derwent United. Wilford struck five times, Hopwood twice and Towse for United, both Marcia's goals coming from Steve Ward.

Severus SC are also a threat in this tight division and kept up with the leading pack by beating Pocklington 4-2. Goals from Moss, Sellars, Woodward and Jones ensured a vital three points, Adam Thomas getting both in reply.

Division two leaders Shipton were beaten 5-2 by Hambleton who, due to games in hand, look on course for promotion.

Huddlestone hit four goals and Farrar the other, with Stilgoe and Blake replying for Shipton.

York Nomads were pegged back in a 2-2 draw with close rivals Bishopthorpe. Thomp-son struck two for the Nomads and Aconley two for Bish.

Deramore Arms saw off a plucky Haxby Lions 4-2 thanks to a Mark Triffitt hat-trick and a goal from Stephen Jackson. Iain Ferguson got a double in reply.

Adam Bruce hit two as Shoulder Of Mutton beat Burnholme 4-2. Shaun Charlton and Dan Edmondson also netted, with Newbold and Thomas getting the consolations.

Acomb Celtic stay atop division three after their 5-1 defeat of Heworth. Their marksmen were Ian Hufton (2), Iain Dickinson, Scott Dickinson and John Thornton, with Page finding the net for Heworth.

In a closely-fought clash between two strong sides, Skelton came from behind to beat Bay Horse Tadcaster.

Burlingham gave Horse the lead but Skelton sub Craig Harrison equalised and ten minutes later James Robinson netted the winner.

Selby Olympia Reserves claimed their first points of the season with a hard-earned 4-2 win over Beeswing, the highlight of the game being Spencer Pearson's magnificent goal. Picking the ball up in his own half, he beat the entire Beeswing defence to score a great solo goal.

Other Selby marksmen were Kevin Simpson, Steff Sweeting and Matty Howden.

In the only division four game, Wanderers beat Cueball Fulford Reserves 6-2 thanks to a Gary Newton hat-trick and strikes from Matt Hartas, Bill Allen and Tom Close, while in division five's only match, New Earswick beat Triangle Club 3-1. It was 1-1 up to the 80th minute after Saltmer had scored for Triangle and Lindsey for Earswick, then Lindsey scored from the spot and then completed a hat-trick.

In the Where In York Trophy quarter-finals, Albion Vaults demolished Acomb Rangers 7-0 with braces for Andy White, Lee Ward and Adam Durnin and a goal from Dave Hullah, while Copmanthorpe edged out Selby Griffin 4-3.

Matty Bastock grabbed two for Cop with Rich Colley and James Gilbertson completing the scoring. Cooper (2) and Farad were Selby's scorers.

Real Way Station reached the semis with a 2-1 win over F1 Racing thanks to Rhodes and Littlewood, while Enterprise did likewise with an extra-time 2-1 win over Raskelf Rovers.
