MICHAEL Vaughan is continuing the rehabilition process on his injured knee under the supervision of Yorkshire CCC physiotherapist Scott McAllister but it is not yet known if he will be fit for the start of the new season.

McAllister is closely monitoring his progress and is keeping the England management informed but Vaughan is still strengthening his knee and has not yet held a bat in the indoor nets at Headingley.

"We will probably know in about two weeks' time just when Michael will be able to start playing again," said Yorkshire's director of cricket David Byas.

The likelihood is that the England captain will make his comeback with Yorkshire but as a centrally contracted player that decision is up to England boss Duncan Fletcher.

Yorkshire continued their build-up to the new season with indoor nets and training at Headingley, with Byas reporting that everything is going along smoothly.

South African Kolpak player Deon Kruis will join the squad on April 3 and Australians Darren Lehmann and Jason Gillespie will report in a week later.

Yorkshire hold their annual meeting at Headingley tomorrow when Geoff Boycott will be voted on to the Management Board. He is not expected to be able to attend the meeting.

Members will have their first chance to meet the club's new chief executive, Stewart Regan, who took up his duties this week.
