YORK City Knights' record try-scorer Peter Fox is to return to Huntington Stadium.

The York Acorn ARLC product, who scored a club-best 25 tries last year to help the Knights to the National League Two title while on a season-long loan from Headingley, will rejoin his home-town club on a new one-month deal, which could be extended if all parties agree.

He was to play for Leeds' Under-21s today against Harlequins Academy before linking up with Mick Cook's men next week. He will not be involved in the Knights' match against Featherstone tomorrow.

The Evening Press exclusively revealed this week that the Knights were trailing 21-year-old Fox, along with Wakefield winger Austin Buchanan and Bradford Bulls youngster Ryan Atkins.

Talks are ongoing with Buchanan's agents, while the Atkins situation may be resolved next week. It is thought, however, that the 20-year-old is also being trailed by Super League duo Castleford and Wakefield.
