Jamie Spencer, who hit the jackpot in Dubai on Saturday, returns to bread and butter fare at Folkestone tomorrow.

The champion jockey landed the Dubai Duty Free Stakes on the Brian Meehan-trained David Junior, who bagged a first prize of £1.7 million.

Tomorrow, Spencer begins the defence of his title and is fancied to have three winners.

He has good prospects aboard Cloud Atlas (2.40), Storm Centre (3.10) and Bahhmirage (4.10).

Cloud Atlas showed plenty of promise last season, finishing second in two of his three starts. Tomorrow's six furlong test should be within his scope.

Mick Channon, who has made an excellent start to the season, can continue in form with Goose Green in the EBF Tenterden Maiden Stakes. This speedily-bred colt will be partnered by Richard Quinn and a winning debut is anticipated.

The Nap vote is awarded to Sabbiosa, trained by John Dunlop, in the Weatherbys Bank Fillies' Handicap.

Although one of the lesser lights of Dunlop's yard in Sussex, it is significant that Sabbiosa has been kept in training as a four-year-old.

She won last season and the chances are she can do even better this term.

The Sugarloaves Remembers Charlie Handicap will not take a great deal of winning and a close eye should be kept on Brabazon, trained by Roger Charlton.

Having shown a glimmer of ability in three races last year, Brabazon now makes his handicap debut. He promises to pay his way in this sphere.

Conditions are sure to be testing at Sedgefield, where the ground is heavy.

Water Taxi gets my vote in the John Smith's Extra Smooth Novices' Hurdle. Ferdy Murphy's five-year-old was rewarded for his consistency with a win on his latest start. Now that he has got his head in front, further success may follow.

Oulton Broad is selected to land the John Wade For Equine Fibre And Rubber Selling Handicap Hurdle.

The ten-year-old, a winner two weeks ago, represents Cheshire trainer Richard Ford.
