INTERIOR designer Deborah Tuddenham wants to create a visual treasure trove for all businesses in York and North and East Yorkshire.

She has already done just that for Helen Wilkinson, whose eight-month-old child care business has been boosted by playroom "treasure island" murals, that had Ofsted inspectors marveling and declaring her business to be "outstanding."

Deborah, of Harrogate, is already well-known for her unusual home murals, and is now spreading her wings as a corporate artist-designer.

She beamed in on the child care playroom with an abundance of colourful beach images, from hidden treasure troves to monkeys swinging on palm trees.

Helen said: "The children really enjoy the lovely exciting atmosphere the mural brings - I utilise the scene for imaginative picnics and different adventures. The bright colours really bring in a new dimension to their play.

"The parents of the children are also thrilled. The murals show how dedicated I am to inspiring and educating the children. It is always a talking point when new mums come to me."

She said that the Ofsted inspection declared her organizational skills and facilities to be outstanding. "I am convinced that the mural was a valuable aspect of that top notch award."

Deborah said: "This is a stunning way to escape from square box spaces into 'another place, a world of dreams. It looks equally as good in reception halls and board rooms as on nursery walls."
