MY beloved car has just failed its MOT due to a fractured coil spring - a problem associated with speed humps and uneven road surfaces.
Having paid a small fortune to have my car road worthy once more, I take to York's roads again; to the offending speed humps with chunks missing from the corners; roadworks with raised ironworks but not a worker in sight; and the ever-famous damaged patch with a carefully painted circle round it which has now faded it's been there that long.
As I manoeuvre round all these hazards I ask myself this "is the road worthy of my car"?
Mrs Rachel Collins,
Tang Hall Lane, York.
